June 2013 status report

The recently upgraded west coast data center met expectations in all, and exceeded them in many aspects.

Systems were running smoothly and without interruption in June.

May 2013 status report

During the Memorial Day weekend we upgraded our west coast data center.

Small details aside – which we were able to address on Saturday and Sunday – the migration has been a full success.

We are particularly excited about the possibilities that those new systems will give us in the future.

April 2013 status report

Things were running smoothly in all data centers in April.

Between 10:00 and 10:05am on April 19th some clients had troubles reaching the west coast data center. The reason was a failed configuration change. We have updated our internal methodologies for these kind of changes to ensure that they will no longer be able to impact our clients.

March 2013 status report

March 2013 was running so smooth that we even forgot to update this page.
We didn’t forget to update the INTERDUBS system though: Currently we are running update number 3,868

February 2013 status report

All three INTERDUBS data centers worked without interruptions in February. Nothing new there.
We continued the growth of our client base and feature list.

We upgraded the capacity of our plain vanilla services and are looking forward to expand the toolset around this venerable technology.

We also finished the Dropbox integration to give people yet another way exchange content with INTERDUBS.

January 2013 status report

All things worked well in January.

On January 20th some of our clients experienced connectivity issues. Please see the entry here.
Since we offer 100% uptime everybody affected has been credit for a full month of service.

Our set top box offering has seen a hardware revision which allows new application fields.

www.interdubs.com data center: intermittend availability issues for some between 5:30 and 6:50pm PDT

For the evening of January 20th we had scheduled to do some structural maintenance.

During the preparation for this maintenance a hardware failure tripped a consistency check that automatically took parts of the system offline to secure data integrity.

We decide to perform the maintenance scheduled for later during the day in parallel to the checks that the hardware failure had triggered.

All systems came back clean and normal. Parts of the system where inaccessible for some clients between 5:30pm and 6:50pm PDT. If you, or your clients were impacted then please come forward so that we can credit you for the entire month of January.

We offer 100% uptime guarantee to our clients. When we do not deliver on this promise then your entire month is free.

December 2012 status report

On December 12 we crossed the 5 million file mark.

No interruptions or downtime in December in any of our 3 data centers.

Since all browsers have reached a decent level of support for modern features (aka HTML5) we started
to implement those in more crucial parts of the admin interface.
(Client facing pages still support pretty much every browser released in this century)

Yeah for progress!!

Yeah for 2012.

Thank you to all our clients and collaborators to make it an awesome year.
It was worth the 584 million miles the earth had to travel.

November 2012 status report

November saw new features.
November saw new clients.

And zero downtime in all 3 data centers.

In other words: business as usual.

We did update our phone systems to service our clients even faster.
Of course we are still reachable 24/7.

Our clients feedback will guide us along to optimize the details in implementation of this – like it does with everything else.

October 2012 status report

October 2012 was not very eventful.

Our New York data center went briefly offline due to Hurricane “Sandy”. All clients have been informed that
they do not need to pay their October invoice if they got impacted by this.

Utility power went offline and the backup generator failed.

We are overall very happy with the quality of our NY hosting vendors. We will evaluate carefully if we should update
matters on the east coast. By comparison INTERDUBS New York did behave fairly well.
